ERRATUM “Corrections to Charts Not Included in the AIP”

This erratum supplements the publication, effective as of AIRAC cycle 06/26 (effective date: June 11, 2026), of the “Corrections to Charts Not Included in the AIP” (AIP France GEN 3.2.8).

In addition, permanent NOTAMs (“NOTAM PERM”) have been issued to bring the correct operational information to the attention of pilots and users.

We apologize for these disruptions related to a new production process.

Our teams are doing everything possible to ensure the reliability of these charts and the integrity of the information published in future editions.

List of errors identified as of 06/18/2026:

  • Aeronautical chart at a scale of 1:1,000,000, edition 1-2026:

VOR/DME BZH missing. Information also published via NOTAM PERM and included in edition 2-2026.

SIV 5 PROVENCE frequency: Read 126.260 instead of 134.800. Information also published via NOTAM PERM and included in edition 2-2026.

  • ICAO aeronautical chart at a scale of 1:500,000, edition 2026:

SIV POITIERS and SIV LIMOGES: disregard the notes regarding FREQ 127.675 MHz, which is usable outside ATS hours. Information also published via NOTAM PERM and incorporated into edition 2027.

ZONES LF-CBA 16B, EU-C25 SL, EU-C25 SLP, EU-C25 SLPZ, and EU-CBA C25 FW are missing and must be added (REF ENR 5.2-17 and 22). Information also published via NOTAM PERM and incorporated into the 2027 edition.

TMA 1, 2, 4, and 5 LIEGE: Read FREQ 119.280 instead of 121.500. Information corrected in the 2027 edition.

FREQ CTR LIEGE: Read 118.130 instead of 121.500. Information corrected in the 2027 edition.

FREQ AD LIEGE Tower: Read 118.130 instead of 130.630. Information corrected in the 2027 edition.

Space limits north of TMA 13 LILLE without information: these are portions of airspace over French territory delegated to Belgian ATC: (U)L 607 area, TMA 1 and 2 OOSTENDE, and CTR KOKSIJDE (REF AIP BELGIUM ENR 2.1, ENR 2.2, and EBFN AD2.17). This information, available in the relevant sections of the Belgian AIP, will be incorporated in the 2027 edition.

Error in the orientation of the VOR roses. This error, negligible at the center of the projection, increases to the west (5.4° at Brest) and to the east (3.4° at Strasbourg). Information corrected in the 2027 edition.

FREQ TMA 1.2, 4.8, 5, and 6 TOULOUSE: read 121.250 instead of 121.255. Information also published via NOTAM PERM and incorporated into the 2027 edition.

TMA GENEVA 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8: Class “C” airspaces, not “D” as indicated on the labels. Information corrected in the 2027 edition.

Airspaces that could be downgraded: only the most restrictive airspace class is now listed. The legend will be modified in the 2027 edition to reflect this change in representation.

Reims Prunay: the IFR symbol must be oriented along the runway axis (referring to the RNP, not VOR A). Information corrected in the 2027 edition.

- TMA Basel AZ2: 5500 >D> FL100 >C> FL105 (instead of 5500 >E> FL100 >D> FL105)
- TMA Basel AZ3S: 2000 >E> 6500 >C> FL105 (instead of 2000 >E> 6000 >D> FL105)

AZBA application update: RTBA time slots now available

AZBA application update: RTBA time slots now available

To improve access to operational information and facilitate flight planning, a new version of the application has been launched. The technical foundation has been revised, and the presentation of the RTBA zone slot table has been modified. It is now accessible via the button located in the upper right corner of the interface:

This update includes a new feature: the ability to modify the time window for viewing zone activations using the date picker integrated into the application title. The old picker has been removed. Users can now view the planned zone activation slots with greater flexibility.

2026 Edition of ICAO 1:500,000 Charts

From 2026, the Aeronautical Information Service will be responsible for the production and distribution of ICAO paper charts at a scale of 1:500,000. The National Institute for Geographic and Forest Information will continue to handle the digital distribution of these charts.

This change is part of a drive to clarify the roles of the various bodies involved in the production of aeronautical information. It is based on an organisational structure in which each body operates within its own area of expertise: the SIA for aeronautical information and the distribution of products, and the IGN for the provision of geographical data.

In practical terms, this change has no impact on users. The 1:500,000 ICAO charts remain strictly identical in terms of content, presentation and use. They retain the same information, the same reference points and the same level of accuracy, which are essential for the preparation and conduct of visual flights.

Pilots will therefore continue to use these charts under the same conditions as before, whether for planning navigation, tracking flight paths or identifying ground features.

The charts also remain compliant with current specifications and continue to meet the safety requirements necessary for VFR navigation. They remain a reference tool, particularly as a complement to digital tools, and especially as an on-board contingency solution.

The distribution of ICAO 1:500,000 charts in paper format is now handled via the usual distribution channels for SIA products.

In the context of the transfer of chart management, in addition to other products provided by the SIA (charts at scales 1:1,000,000 and 1:250,000, VLAN, ENR 6.1/6.2), the distribution of ICAO charts in paper format will be delayed in relation to the effective date of 16 April 2026. The digital version, meanwhile, will be available on that date on the SIA website under the section for freely available digital products.

New VAIP version !

New VAIP version !

The AIP Viewer (VAIP) continues to evolve in order to provide users with a more comprehensive and more functional experience. Several significant improvements have been incorporated into this new version.

New information layers are now available: IFR points (waypoints), as well as navigation aids such as NDBs, standalone DMEs and TACANs. These additions enhance the quality of the available aeronautical information and facilitate operational analysis. In addition, ATIS frequencies are now displayed directly in the aerodrome information window, thereby improving rapid access to essential data.

VAIP also integrates a configuration profile system, allowing each user to customize the graphical interface according to their specific needs and to save this configuration. As a result, the VAIP home screen is no longer necessarily the one you have always known by setting a favorite configuration. It is also possible to create additional configurations and save them for loading as needed, without modifying the favorite configuration that will be displayed when VAIP is opened. Configuration backup files can be exchanged between different users or devices.

Finally, several bug fixes have been implemented in order to ensure improved stability and smoother use of the tool.
